G35 vs Mitsu EVO VIII: I got one yesterday
Hello,
Through the Costoco Auto Program, I was able to lease a 2005 Diamond-Graphite 6sp manual G35 yesterday from Costa Mesa Infiniti. With a $700.00 over invoice ($ 28,818), it looked as a promising start and I am very happy with my decision. I stalled the car in first gear couple of times
but no one honked at me.
My only sad moment yesterday was hearing the appraiser, for my trade in; drive away my Mustang GT, that car with the V8 burbling exhaust sounded nice.
But I am done with driving like a maniac for now; I guess I have grown up. Ehhh.... but then again a 298 bhp is pretty tempting to keep me as a youngster. For the first time in 5 years I enjoyed some quite time on the freeway instead of a loud exhaust sound and I am pleased with that.

You actually probably upgraded in speed. My sedan pulled my friends GT in a 70-120 accleration run. I had a passenger and he had cat-back exhaust.
Anyways, Enjoy

Ok since you guys keep asking about the Evo, here is what I think. I still freaking like the EVO and would like to have to drive it as a car..... one day. It's just not the right car for me to own at this time. As I said before in a previous threat, I just got my Doctorate in Psychology and I just think it seems funny for me to go see patients at either hospitals or community mental health centers driving an EVO. Maybe I am analyzing this too much
but this is how I feel now about it.
So there it is.

I was in a similiar dilemia not too long with the EVO/STi cars. Needless to say I went with the g35 as I'll be working in corporate finance. Wasnt sure if those cars could scream "management" as much as a g35
