Toyo Proxes TPT

Toyo Proxes TPT
So at just 700 miles I replaced my awful EL42s with 215/55/17 Toyo Proxes TPT. The EL42w flatspotted after sitting overnight and rode like a truck.
With the TOYOs, Instantly at 80 mph I had a strong vibration, Road force balancing found 1 tire at 29lbs of roadforce. 1.5 hours of work by the tire guy (at another shop with the much coveted Hunter GSP9700, which the original shop did not have) brought it down to 9 the others were 13,14, and 6lbs.
The TOYOs offer excellent grip with very preditable breakaway at the limits of adhesion. Blows away the EL42s grip or lack there of.
Anyway, I still think they transmit too much road feel. Monday I am swapping them for some softer riding Michelin MXV4 S8 (OEM for the G35 sometimes).
Toyo offers a free 45 day 500 miles test drive which I am implementing.
