VDC saved my life a couple of times (passed a truck to get into an exit from 101N to 92E, going way too fast; the car was all over the road, breaking with all 4 (5? ) wheels, but it stuck; if i had VDC off, i'd be a spot on the concrete divider or axel grease on a semi), so i keep it on most of the time.

VDC was switched off and nothing intervened when I totalled that G35.
Including common sense.

I leave it on. I've disabled it twice to see if I could tell the difference and really couldn't. The only time I've had it engage was when I was running around on a closed runway. If you get the car sliding, it will come on...

I consider myself a pretty conservative driver. I like the added protection the VDC gives. If I were trying to be Speedy Gonzalez I'd probably have a different opinion.

How about in the turns? Now that I think about it, seems like VDC only really kicks in on turn exits in my X-
I turn it off rarely-

I too have wondered into the sedan section, again, but will reply anyway
6MT Coupe, and I turn it off every time I start the car. I only leave it on in the rain. Before I started turning it off, it would grab when I was on entrance/exit ramps to the interstate - and at lower speeds than I would take them in my Explorer.

I took (on prev car, breaking in this one) VDC off and yeah I started doing drift and stuff... the slip came on and stayed on... had to turn car off and on for it to go away.

I have the 6 speed and with the LSD, the G can take a quick sharp turn without spinning the tires no problem. I never thought I would like being able to step on a RWD car and have no wheel spin, but its actually pretty awesome to feel the pull out of the turn with no wheel spin.

It is much scarier to find that when you shift into second gear, BAM, you get your breaks slammed on for you, it seems like the ecu should be able to tell the difference when you are at WOT and shifting hard compared to normal loss of traction. Oh well

This is exactly what I am talking about. If I pull out fast from a light, the VDC cuts your ***** off shifting into second. It's asking to get hit from behind. I guess if you drive this car, Nissan has decided you have to stop driving like a kid! I agree though I like the way it handles turns at high speed. I'm not going to be turning the VDC on and off. I just wish it were smarter like you said.
