I have a Black G so I really liked the contrast of the Wheat on Black. The dealer had the same car with Stone, but I liked the Wheat just a little better. With the sunroof open on a sunny day the Wheat is soooo beautiful. I've heard some say they felt the 03/04 Wheat had more of a greenish tint. No regrets in going with the Wheat interior, though I agree the Stone is pretty sweet also.

The '03/'04 Willow interior was not a good color. Took a loaner sedan out once with this interior and both my wife and I disliked it intensely. Looked cheap, and not just the design and materials. The color itself was too putty-like.

The '05 Wheat color looks good. I looked closely at an IP/Wheat sedan and really liked it, but my wife wasn't so wild on the color, so we went with the Stone instead.

Trey, since you and your wife seem to enjoy the Stone and I live through the approval of others, to where do I send the $35K cashier's check sitting in front of me?

BTW, I mentioned in another thread that I rented a loaded Pacifica Touring AWD a few months ago (white exterior, black leather interior w/nav and everything) and thought it worked well for what it was: an oversized-wagon family hauler. Your accountant would tell you that one G35 is enough in the family, but I completely understand falling head-over-nuts for the G.

Actually, we have decided on the Wheat. Specifically, the Stone that was off-lot is no longer available, so the Wheat is it.

We're about to leave to go work the deal and pick up the car. Unfortunately, it has everything I wanted, except for the Aero package. The dealer said they can install it, but it's an addition $650 or so, and I would have to wait for them to get the part in, drive BACK down there ( about 90 miles one way ), get a loaner, and come back AGAIN to pick it up. Sure, I could have the local dealer install it, but I would be subject to the dealer's labor rates. So between now and the time I get there, I have to decide just how badly I want the aero package.

As far as the pacifica goes, we're going to miss it. We'll miss the room, and especially miss the DVD and middle-row seat heaters. You know what the funny thing is, when I was driving an Avalanche, I used to beg my wife to let me drive the Pacifica because it was so sporty and had such a nice ride. Comparatively. After I got the G, my wife took it on a trip for the weekend so I got stuck with the Pacifica. Over the weekend, I drove the Pacifica exactly twice, and both were local runs. How things change.

Now, there was another post here a few weeks back by some dude asking if he should get a G. He said he had X in the bank, put back X a month into retitement, etc. He was wondering if it would be financially responsible to buy a G. I, on the other hand, am in a completely different place. This purchase is *not* a responsible action. But hey, it's only money, right?

Last night when we were working some numbers, we figured that with the negative equity, and the money we're putting down, we could actually have purchased a bare-bones M45. Oh well.

As for the cashier's check, PM me for my address. If it's not here by next Friday, I'll consider it delinquent.

I'll post some side-by-side picks when we get back. We will shortly be a 2-G family. Now I just have to learn how to drive a stick

Um, okay. You do that. Do not be concerned if it drags out for months, years or decades. You know the post office.

Well, as you surely know from this forum the 6MT clutch and transmission in the G35/350Z is exceptionally robust. Practically unbreakable. Perfect for the lurch-stall-squeal-slip-burn-repeat your training will bring.

Congrats on the car!
