For the last month I've felt a noticable vibration in the steering wheel, drivers seat and drivers side door panel. Sometimes I can feel it in the passenger seat. It occurs only when im in park or stopped at traffic lights. When I'm driving there is no vibration. The vibration feels sort of like when your idling too low and you get a shakey feel in the cockpit. It appears to be idling fine, around 650 to 750. I took it to the dealership and they performed an idle air volume learning procedure. Picked it up and no change. Took it back the next day and had the service foreman came out to inspect. He told me he could feel it but there wasnt anything he could do. He bascially told me it was "normal". I made him bring me another G sedan for a test ride and I also found a similar vibration but less strong. I have a 2002 Pathfinder and there is almost no vibrations, only a slight vibration from the steering wheel - which is normal. I am too sensitive or is something wrong? Its very annoying and gives me a crappy feeling considering how much we pay for these cars. Anyone else feel this vibration. Any comments appreciated.

 

The vibration I get is at a stop. It feels like when you geta chill. The car just vibrates for a second and then evreything is OK.

No vibrations on my Sedan 2003 with 23000 miles.

this is one small reason why people by an inline 6 instead of a V6. The vibration is inherent to the design of a V6. The VQ/VG series is the smoothest of them all and the vibration is largely attenuated (oooh, 50 cent word) by liquid filled engine mounts. You are going to have some vibration with this engine but usually not enough to feel

mine vibrates when I pull it to the first traffic light in the morning at low speed, feel like I'm driving over the strips on the side of highway , but it dees not vibrate after it stops.
I thought it's because the engine and brakes are still cold?

Grounding kit has no effect. The problem is not that noticable but it is there. My car idles at 250-really low in my opinion. I'm not Nissan so who cares, right.

250 is a bit low, VQ average idle should be around 550-600.

if you feel a bad vibration in the steering wheel , have the dealer check your engine mounts.

ask your dealer to check your o2 sensors, and your MAF.

sometimes when a car has a dirty idle (rough, vibrates, even dies), your MAF is contaminated with too much dust, etc..

I drove home and its idle is 250. I have no issues and the dealer says that its normal. Nothing through the steering wheel at all. The cars just has a light shake for a split sec. Like whena car goes by you at alight when you're stopped.
