PLEASE HELP Z-TUBE AND K&N
I got my Z-tube and K&N yesterday, so I woke up this morning ready for install on my 2003 Sedan. I have a question there is a metal mesh grill on the stock box, right behind the filter and where the z-tube will be connecting. Has anyone removed this mesh grill.
I took a video of what the car sounded stock and will take one after I make this mod, I can't wait. Thanks.

If I have everything setup later *hopefully*, I'll let you know. I get very picky on these little engine noise upgrades. Definitely let you know afterward.

Ok...just finished installing ztube and k&n. Alot easier than expected (especially for someone who is a dummy at little mods). The instructions were really good. For the K&N I didn't really have to follow the instructions. It was just unbuckle the 4 clips and the bolt. I didn't even notice where the MAF was and nothing was really in the way.
For Z-tube, it's easier to connect the pcv tube before attaching the rest of the tube. Also, the before and after, the tube are just as far far away from the AC line. I am not sure why people said it was rubbing it. I try wiggling the tube, it's stiff and has almost an inch of space between that and the ac line.
Will take it out for a spin soon. Exhausted from the heat 85+ outside.

Ok I am back from a bit of driving. The Z-tube makes a bit more engine noise above I would say starting 3500 - 4000 rpm+. I can't tell if there is 1 or 2 additional horses if at all but the sound so far is pretty good. Need to drive in manumatic to hold it high on rpm and let it come back down otherwise in D it'll shift to higher gear and you can't hear much. Overall, it's not bad...
