Clear bra is the way to go. Yes, they are fairly expensive. I spend $600 on the whole front, lights and mirror but I know it is worth every penny. I have a couple of incident already with trucks spitting up pebble. The bra does its work. My other daily car and wife's car have the black bra on and let me tell you it's a b**ch to remove, clean and dry every time when I wash the cars.

Just curious........How often are you supposed to take off the removable bras so that everybody can see the paint you've been covering up to protect? I wonder if you can have your car front just painted to look like a bra? Oh wait, ......then you'd have to buy a bra to protect your bra paint job.....right?

My car bra is put on when I drive out of town. For in town driving, it is normally off. Has been off for 6 weeks, now, since my last trip out of town was in my truck.

Pain to put on, though.

Agree with G35_TX...I had a black bra on a black Camaro for years. Tried to remove it when it rained and washed at least weekly. Never had a problem under the bra. In fact, it protected the paint so well, the rest of the car looked like crap when the bra was off, even with regular waxing of the car. One of the reasons I have switched away from black cars...after 3 of them. After 15K miles, I already have a few micro-chips you can't notice unless washing/waxing. Believe I'll look into the clear bra.

Ok. Guess I am going to have to start saving my money. I really hate the way any car looks with a bra - especially one that it's black. Given that it looks like I am going to be saving up for the clear one. It's a shame you can get a conventional bra in colors other than black. If I could find one in grey for about the $100 a black one will cost me I would likely just go that route. Not perfect but far better than black or $600 for a clear one.

I also dislike the black "nose guard" but I dislike a stone chipped front facia even more. So I install it for long trips and take it off when driving around town.
