As far as the original poster's question, I don't think there is an answer unless they can replicate this at the dealer and have that feature turned off. I am sorry to say that the other people here are correct in saying you should not leave your keys in the car. It is not the answer to the question, but it will prevent you from future problems.

As for the issue of the mysterious "auto locking"...this has been brought up before. The cars do not "auto lock". The driver somehow inadvertently hits the lock button when exiting the vehicle. At least that was the conclusion that was made the first time this issue was discussed.
