Rear Seat Cover for 05 G35 Sedan

All --

I have done a search and have not found what I am looking for... I need a seat cover for the rear seat of my 05 G35x for the dog. While a fitted, custom cover would be nice, it is not necessary -- just something that will stay on and protect my seats.

Surely someone has bought a cover that they like??? When I did a search, it seemed like a foreign idea...

That being said:

1. Yes I like my leather seats and prefer to not cover them up...
2. I bought the sedan instead of the coupe so that I could take my dog along with me... And preferred a car over a SUV\truck this time round...
3. If you don't like dogs, animals in general and think it is stupid to take them in the car, don't waste time responding...
4. Laying towels down on the seat won't work but thanks for the thought...

I felt the need to post those last four points as when I did a search, the results I came upon included many flames to the points above... Some people have far too much time on their hands...

I'm just looking for some help -- not to get flamed. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Mike

My wife and I just purchased a rear seat cover for her 04 ( should fit the 05, I'm guessing ). I can't remember the brand, or the model, but when I get home I'll get the info for you.

This seat cover was for sedans, in general, of a certain size. Therefore, it will not account for everything in the back seat, including the arm rest/console. We're thinking about cutting into the cover so the arm rest can fold down; we're even thinking about sowing in some velcro so we can latch up the flap when the arm rest is up.

Good timing on the post! We adopted a dog on Saturday and the dog rides in my husband’s daily driver for now. However, I was thinking I should look into purchasing a seat cover for the day when his daily driver finally dies, so I'm interested as well.

My wife, kids and I travel approx. 200 miles almost every weekend with our dog. Although she is small, only 20 lbs or so, she gets hair everywhere. Our main concern was to control the amount of hair, so we took the low cost approach and put a small t-shirt on her, this really cuts down on the amount of hair we have to clean up. Not sure if this helps in your situation

As the hubby stated above we bought a cover for our backseat. My main concern wasn't the hair really but the "dirt" and the fact that I wanted something waterproof so if god forbid he gets sick in the car, etc. I don't have to worry so much about the seats. The one we bought we got at PetsMart. There were several options in their "travel" section that you could look into depending on what your needs are and the cost factor, etc. The one we bought is $40. I am hoping it will be as easy to put on and take off as it claims thereby not requiring me to leave it on all the time. I would like to find another cover but this is the best I have come up with so far. If you look online there are some places that sell very large waterproof blankets that will cover your whole back seat floor and all. That may be a good option for your situation as well. PM me if you can't find them and I will see what I can do.

I use them for quite a few things fro my Lab/Setter mix. While I don't have the exact travelbed style shown here, I have something very similar. It attaches with straps around the front headrest posts and to the rear seatbelt guides. Oh, I have a '04 AWD sedan.
