Somebody point me to a DIY for the Mech/Crank Fan to E-Fan conversion.

Aghhh, my 2003.5 has the stupid (IMO) mech or crank driven fan I believe it is called and I hate it...to death. I don't want my sedan sounding like an old truck or suv!!! I know some of you guys know what I'm talking about. It's only when I turn on the a/c does it sound like i mentioned. I recently drove a loaner for my car's servicing and I noticed it was an 04 model. Sure enough it didn't have the mech/crank driven fan but the dual e-fan setup STOCK. One way test I make is the park with a/c on rev. Simply park the car with a/c on after driving and rev the engine to hear that sweet coupe middy. Except it's drowned out by mech/crank fan air swooshing around in the engine. On the loaner I tested the exact same way and it sounded so clear...it was beautiful (shedding tear). I could clearly hear the STOCK exhaust. That's right I mean I could hear the softer-than-coupe-but-still-noticeable growl clearly. I am jealous. I stepped outside of the loaner and it was much quieter unlike my car where it sounds like swooshing air.

I know some people have completed this conversion, notably I think "DaveO" I believe. So please help me and hopefully others out by somehow slapping together a DIY. I've never done anything like this so I don't know what's what. I can definitely do the job but this will be the first for me so I'd rather rely on your knowledge. Or you can point to an existing thread if it exists. PLEASE!!! I want my car to sound kewllllerrr..

BTw, today morning on Beltway 8 heading South near I-10 I saw another silver or desert sedan with 03 coupe 18's and the Nismo front stuck in traffic heading west. Nice wheels and front but if I remember correctly you haven't yet painted the sides right? Well please get it done so it looks fully badass. I'm not hating on you but IMO wuold complete the look totally. Good work though.

I don't believe we have a DIY, but I know someone who did the mod:

DaveO . PM him for details.
