Door Rattle - WTF????

Anyone else get a slight rattle from the door handle on bassier tunes (driver's side)? If yes, what have you done about it? I know this is common in POS cars, but I was hoping it wouldn't be an issue in this one. I picked it up last Wednesday....

if the music is cranked loud and you have an amp and subwoofer, things are going to vibrate/rattle no matter what. If it's an issue that exists during normal driving conditions without music playing - there are a few things it could be... I've had similar issues that I have fixed, but since I don't know your exact situation I can't offer much.

Is it only during heavy bass?...

Yes it happens occasionally. To my mind it's normal with loud bassy music.

I had the same problem with my pasenger door handle. I took it to the dealer and they fixed it without any hassle.

All good info.... I am going to the dealer tonight to pick up plates. I'll mention it then. It is the stock system which I find decent, but not terribly impressive. I just traded a 00 maxima with $2k in focals and eclipse aftermarket equipment which gave it a substantially louder and clearer thump-a-thump. I spent time getting all the rattles out of that with dynamat, foam, chewing gum, etc... I'd rather not have to do that with this ride - it being brand new and stock....

If you're really **** about bass thump and rattles, go ahead and get the dynamat, foam, chewing gum, and oreder some extra patience. I have the Bose and it thump/rattles more as the miles pass. I'm about ready to disassemble, line and insulate, and then reassemble.

Say it aint so! Looks like I won't get to take up golf after all.... How much does a car need to cost before all of the little things are taken are of? I was hoping to get some serious quality with all 298 of my new ponies. Had I known I would've gotten a wicked awesome camaro instead!

no need to give up trunk space to put in a good system... there's lots of options out there. i went w/ taking out my spare tire and putting my 12" solobaric in there. no loss of trunk space. others go w/ the side mount subs. i still gotta build a clean floor for my amps.... never have the right amount of time though...

Owning that camaro would require you to also grow the obligatory Sweet mullet
