Finally decided to get my car tinted today. Got it tinted at a place called DeDona Enterprises Inc. http://www.dedonainc.com/homepage/ in Yonkers, NY. I opted for 20% on rear glass and 35% on the 4 door glasses. As far as I can tell they did a great job on the dot matrix on the rear glass. The technician told me that the way they fix the dot matrix problem is they scuff it up and apply a special solution to it. The tint seems to stand out darker on my ivory pearl sedan as opposed to my other car (maroon color) which had the same tint. Visibility is no problem. Just hope po-po stays away.

I paid $250.00 and they used LLumar. I don't know if it is my eyes deceiving me, but now that I see it in the daytime, it looks green. Anyone else have this with their LLumar tint.

 

I have an appointment for june 30th, im getting 30% all the way around i have a black car w/ black interior so i think its going to look dark enough, yet bright enough to have visibility of the road.

 

I live in West Suburbs. Just got my car last friday and I am looking forward to tint the windows. Where are you getting yours tinted? How much did you get the quote for? Maybe they have group discounts?

its called MIDCO tinting the guy is the best in chicagoland area, no joke, he does it perfect no gap between the window and then tint, hes charging me 175 for all windows, im telling you the guy is the best, ive had at least 10 friends get their windows tinted there, lifetime warranty also.

I had Llumar on my previous G and I saw those films brownish. Decided to travel to get 3M since I saw them on a friends car. NOW they look really good. Black black.

Here is how 20% tint all round (and lightest Llumar film on front) looks like.



Besides, 1.3 hrs to tint shop and 1.3 back made me reach almost 500 miles yey! only 1k miles more to break in completion!

im 35 in the front an 13 in the back + stock makes me legal for florida front 28 and illegal in the back 10 :-x

35% looks nice and since you can still kinda see through it, your going to get less hassle from the Police. Thats what I went with on mine

 

Shout out to Silver State Tinting here in Las Vegas. They did a great job with my G35 Sedan, very professional and nice (articulate). Solargard Brand/ 22% Front 13% back. Looks nice and sporty just love it!

 

Can you give me the number and name of the guy please. Now, do you tint the front windows too? Isn't it illegal to tint front windows in IL?
How much % can we get the other windows tinted?
