30 hours after pickup...unbelievable

30 hours had past since I picked up my g35 5at black on black and for the first few days i decided to park it in front of my neighbors house because our garage is a mess right now and our driveway has trees over it and we always get sap on the cars and in front our house, sap comes down as well. so i leave it in front of my neighbors and across the street from my car is my other neighbor (at least 75 years old, heavyset guy, drives a crown victoria, and has that stupid beeping noise when its in reverse)...well i guess he didnt think there was a car there, and decided to back into my car. 30 hours after i get the car, i got a big dent this is ridiculous. anyways here are the pics...first one is the day i got it (so its perfectly fine, and you can see the trees in the background and my house in the way background on the left, next to the jetta, not right near my car) then the rest are w the dent...

you can see the little paint chip on the ground in the last picture

Sorry for your bad luck bro, sucks big time, but how about under a cover in your own driveway?

I'm very sorry-but it should be able to be repaired back to normal, shouldn't it? I almost hate to say it but, nice trees, BTW.

The first car I owned, a Fiat 124 Spyder, was parked on a lot in NYC for the first week while I waited for the indoor spot to be available. They put it on the street one day to have more room and the entire left front fender was trashed by a large bus. Ughhhh!

Man, that really blows.

I won't park on our street at all because the neighbor kids are always playing street hockey or throwing the baseball around. Already had to get a paintless dent repair done on my wife's Tacoma because of those kids.

Hopefully the repair wont be too much of a hassle and look like new again.

yea i was just outside talking to him and hes gonna cover everything. i was gonna go today actually and get a car cover haha...how ironic...but yea just hope to have it fixed soon and done well. The guy is pretty nice, hes just old and well ill save my thoughts on old drivers. Ill be getting estimates tomorrow. I just feel kinda bad for him, cause he is old and retired . As long as the car looks new, all will be good. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Dont feel too bad. Sh.t happens, and not our fault. Girlfriend just rearended someone in her new Accord. Less than 1,000 miles. She was on her way to the dealer to get her aero kit and new wheels put on. Could have been worse....might have been leaving with the new stuff installed.

Welcome to the club!!

The car is never, ever the same after it's been into an accident.

Sorry to hear what happened to your car.

Just curious since your car doesn't have the sports suspension/tire package, what tires does it come with on your car? Is it the Turanza EL42 all season?

Sorry that this had to happen to your pristine ride. At least your neighbor owned up to it. Something similar happened to my Mother inlaws three month old Maxima. Parking in San Francisco is tight and you usually have to park right up to the edge of the of where someones driveway starts. the elderly neighbor backed out of his driveways and scraped the whole front end of her maxima. He catergorically denied it. It wasn't until I showed him the swipe of grey paint on his car until he admitted it. Mother in law didn't sweat it, she just had her insurance fix it and the Neighbor just paid the deductable.
