Painting Calipers?

Was thinking about painting my brake calipers on my 05 Diamond Graphite Sedan with 18" Sport rims. Anybody else done this? If so, what colors? Was thinking red or brembo gold.... Not sure if I want to do it or not though. Pics anyone?

No pics, but red calipers would look cool.

On the DG color, I prefer the red calipers over the gold, the red will really set your ride off. Make sure you give it a few coats, at least three and the red should be really bright.

Can somebody post some pics of this? I have never seen a car with this done and I just can't picture it looking that good. I want to see it on a car so I can decide if I like it or not

there was another post recently with someone painting their stock calipers red....didnt look good in my opinion. The stockers are too small to paint, by making them stand out more, they look even smaller cause you expect more.

I kinda have to agree. It just seems to be lacking something. Like you forgot to do something else to the car.

I would vote for neither.

I was looking up brake caliper paint and found this: Link to Article

Link to G2

Gurgen's calipers were painted red by Vision AutoSports in Hacienda Heights, CA (I'm pretty sure they did the work) I can't find a shot of his wheels, though. I am not sure what paint they used, but it was fading after a year or so.

cheers,
-T

I was thinking of powder coating mine to match the DG color of the car or Black. Thought red or blue would be too flashy.

Hmmm... Hard for me to decide now and thanks for all who posted pics. I like the red but it may be too flashy for my taste and possibly lacking something (although the stock calipers are bigger than most stock calipers). The black looks good, but not sure if it would be worth it considering the time and the fact that it doesn't stand out as much. Gold is definitely out of question though. If they were bigger calipers, I'd say maybe.

I guess I'll ponder on it alittle bit. Thanks again for pics and opinions.
