Does the dealer charge for alignment/balancing?

Don't waste your time taking it back to the dealer. Yeah, they won't charge you but they can't balance tires for s***.
I had the same problem with mine and let the dealer try 3 times to fix it. They couldn't because they're simply "spin balancing" them.
Take your car to Discount Tire/America's Tire and ask them to "road force balance" your tires. They use a special balancing machine that the dealer doesn't use.
Road force balancing cost me $60, but the shimmy/vibration is now gone at highway speed.

Strange: For the last 15 years I've [paid] rotated and balanced my Michelin tires every oil change [90 days 3500-4,000 miles] and they still change a little every 1500 miles.
But then again most people are not very sensitive to the slight quiver that a few grams out [5-7 grams <1/4 ounce] can produce.
When new tires are installed they should be rebalanced at the first 400-500 miles as they change in the beginning at a rapid rate.

So I finally had the dealership take a look at it...they balanced the front wheels (they said they were pretty bad, probably because of the potholes) and they replaced my front brakes (insane squeeking noises) and tightened a rear lug nut to correct torque specs (clicking sound when taking off) everything seems fine now....They washed the car and changed my liscense plate frame to theirs..(that was sneaky!)

I've got terrible shimmy and vibration at any speeds over 40 is where it is noticeable. At 70-80 it is absolutely unnaceptable, but this may be because I put on new wheels and tires.
The dealer just fixed it for free under warranty work? I dont understand. Is it included in the warranty to do an allignment and balance after a certain amount of mileage? If so, maybe I can talk my dealer into doing one for me a little early (8800 miles)
and LOL at the changing the license plate frame to theirs!! I find that hillarious! What happened to your old one? They just kept it?

Yeh they did it for free.(I dont think they alligned them..just balanced)..I only had like 8300 miles on the car. Dont know if they will do it for aftermarket wheels for the reason Trebien said...as far as the liscense plate frame....yeh they kept them...I guess they threw them out since they were from a competing infinity dealersip....not that I care..They treated me nicely and got everything fixed....
