So after about 20 mins I pick my car up and drive away a much happier g35 owner. I finally feel like I can drive this car the way I want to. It was always fine on the freeway, but I never was comfortable going all out in 1st or 2nd gear because of the akward engagement.
I'm at #3.

I feel the same way on the clutch, but I had nothing to compare it to since this is my first manual transmission. I've had "difficulty" getting out of 1st b/c of the travel, but I figured that's the way a manual was.

Do you know what they adjusted on this? I just got the car about a week ago and want to have this done when I take it in next time. Thanks!

#2 with 5500 miles. This is the most difficult clutch i ever used and extremely sensitive. I have mastered the shifting from 1 to 2 to 3 -4-5- 6 but when i downshift from5 to 4 or 4 to 3 or 3-2 theres a little jerk -- do u guys face that

I got the same comments from the dealer, as well. I did fine a thread with pics on how to adjust the clutch pedal travel. Can't seem to locate it, right now. However, after following the thread for sometime . . . It seems that people were experiencing premature clutch wear. So, with that in mine, I decided to leave well enough alone.

Given the choice of a knee replacement vs a clutch replacement, I'd do the clutch every time

Knee replacement? . . . Sounds like you're ready for a wheel chair, rather than deciding on how to or not to adjust a clutch pedal.
