Request for rear shots =)

Hello all,

Thinking about either upgrading my current tires to 235/50/17 or looking for 2005 oem 18inch sports tires. From the rear of my car, if I look from a distance the current 215/55/17 looks very skinny. Can you guys with the 235/50/17 or the 18 inch sport tires post a picture from the rear? I want to see if the bigger width size looks better from the rear. Obviously it does but I just wanted to see the difference...

Thanks...

Ryan,

I can barely see the width of the tires. It's blend into the dark background. But looks wide!

NOrCalifG35,

That's the exact shot I want to see but the shadow casts in and it's hard to see clearly.

Thanks though. Or even a front shot with the tires tilted out the fender would be great too!!!

3rd pic is the best. Thanks and looks pretty wide.

Quick question though. Today I saw a 330ci with 225/40/18 in the front but I don't know if it's the lower profile illusion but it makes his tires look huge for 18 and looks wide for a 225. Is 225 or however wide universal across the broad for all manufacturers? Also, let's say 225/40 vs 225/45. Is the 225 still the same width or the lower profile makes it bigger/smaller? Sorry for asking stupid question like that.

Today I saw a M35 with 245/45/18 and it looks pretty wide.

Does anyone have pictures of Avon 235/50/17 or any other 235/50/17 on their stock 17's?

Thanks!

I know what you're talking about regarding those BMWs and the
wide-looking tires (though they're only 225). I think it's due
mostly in part because BMW runs on an 8 inch wide wheel and
they're wheel offset may be just right (i.e., it's as close
to the fender without protruding past the side of the car).
The OEM 18" wheels on the G35 sport pkg is on a 7.5" wide
wheel.

I like how the 3 series have that bulging out fender. The g35 coupe has it also but the g35's sedan fender is almost flat. If you at this chart

https://g35driver.com/forums/attachm...chmentid=16198

Seems like 8.0 wide rim with an offset of 33 would get your wheels to line up right on the fender. Isn't that what the coupe wheels are? 33 offset and 8 inch wide rims?

When I look at my car from the behind the wheel is skinny and it's hidden inside the fender. With the 18 sport rims it lines more closer to the fender.

Comon guys. Help a G member out. Someone's gotta be running Avon 235/50/17 on this forum or some other 235/50/17's like the Pilot's etc on their stock 17's.

Thanks!!!
