Oh hell no

Last night, my car developed a buzzing/rattling in the moonroof area....I tested it closed, open, cracked open, with the cover forward or all the way back....it seems my glass is buzzing??????????? What??? Holy crap, I am going to launch this car off the bay dock (when I find a bay and a dock)....this is the reason why I got rid of my 04 coupe.....heeeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllllllll nooooooooooooooooooo.....anyone else have this problem?

Yes, going to have the dealer get rid of all creaks and rattles this week.

Can you lemon a car if they fail to get rid of these manufacturing defects numerous times?

To lemon law a car, The problem must be one which substantially impairs the vehicle's use, value or safety. I don't think a creak would qualify

No. You'll never successfully return a car under the Lemon Law for squeaks and rattles. I guess the odds would vary from state to state, but I can't see it happening.

My only complaint with this car is the rattles -- kinda baffling to me. My sunroof and both B-pillars rattle and creak quite bad.

I can't complain too much as I haven't taken it to the dealer to resolve. That being said -- I DID have higher expectations for this car (and Infiniti in general) with regard to rattles and creaks...

I though my Audi's were bad... My lowered S2000 didn't rattle or creak this bad!

I guess we'll have to see what the dealer can do. I just hope it's not one of those, "We couldn't here any rattles or creaks..." Time will tell...

Both my Infiniti's have had a rattle or two and in both cases the dealer was really cool about it. My sedan's was really straightforward - the passanger side front window rattled when the stereo was on, I took it in and mentioned it (along with my seat creak) and they fixed both.

My coupe's was a little more anomalous - I had a sort of dull thud in the rear quarter when driving. Took awhile for them to hear it but eventually they figured that my rear crossmember was loose, and they fixed that too.

So my suggestion is take it in, be cool, mention that these cars are known to have some rattles, creaks, and thuds, and odds are they will help you out.

My front and rear window on my 05 were rattling and creeking like crazy. I took it up to the dealership and they shimmed the rubber trim . Then a TSB came out about replacing the bolts on the power window. Creeks and rattles are now gone thankfully. Good luck with yours!

After 40+ years driving all kinds of cars, creaks and rattles, and other problems seem to be a common regardless of the make or model. The quality is certainly getting better ... but nothing is absolutely perfect.

I had recently had a '00 4-Runner that had a sporadic rattle in the rear that persisted from day one.

I've been driving around on business with some folks at work during the last few weeks. One person has a one-year old E500, and when I was in the back seat I noticed the passenger side door rattled like crazy. And another guy has a '04 RX330 ... and there was a buzzing sound coming from his dashboard (said that he's been in a couple of time to get it fixed). And then with the third person, who has an ES330, he said that there is a definiete hesitation probelm when he accelerates. And that Lexus says it's normal. So he's frustrated as he11.

Then they all rode in my G and commented on how nice the fit-and-finish is, and how solid it felt. And then I accelerated ... and they all said OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH WOW

Ironiocally enough my Jetta had no rattles and felt incredibly solid, problem is the car was a pile of trash and never left the shop.

It is my opinion that the stereo is one of the culprits of the rattles - Bose is nothing but bass... That being said -- that shouldn't be an excuse. If the particular stereo is going to rattle the car loose, then don't put it in...

I will take everyone's advise and get mine in soon to see if we can't get these rattles resolved.

As I mentioned in my prior post, I couldn't be more happy with the car other than these nagging rattles.

Off to the stealer...

If that were the case Ford would be out of business.

I've had a lot of the rattles people describe and most of them were cured by the dealership after some bugging on my part. I have the rear deck one right now, but I'm waiting for my next scheduled maint. to complain about it.
