since i'm a little dissapointed that the 2004 6mt will have no power increase, the idea of the dropping the coupes, or even the 350z's, 6mt into the sedan just flashed into my head........i believe it can be done, just like how 3rd gen RX-7s engine is fitted into a miata, but the real question is what would it take to make this transplant work..

Why? It's the same engine. Granted there may be differences in ECU tuning, and exhaust, but not the engine. To get coupe horsepower in a sedan, you will need only some sort of ECU upgrade, and perhaps a new exhaust.

You mean putting the 350z/Coupes Manual into a 5AT Sedan? If thats what your saying then I doubt it would be worth the cost to do it. Your better off (not to mention having a valid warrenty) to sell your 5AT Sedan and buy a 6MT Sedan, even tho there is no HP increase.

Huh, the G35 6mt and the 350Z have the same exact tranmission, same ratio's, final drive is the same to. I think what you mean is you want the Z's extra 27hp. And trust me, you want the Z's LSD.

But in any event, it's a pretty sad world when your bummed about 0-60 in 6sec not being good enough. So what if the 04 didn't get more power, your still not going to find anything else in the 04 marketplace that offers what this car offers at it's price point. Hey,...................even 330I's don't get LSD.

you're correct, same engine..my bad.......if, and when, the ecu upgrade coupled with an exhaust system can generate the coupes hp numbers, that would be awesome..
