IS350 vs G35

I rest my case that if you spend the amount of money in the gap between the G and the IS (roughly $5K) then the G will outperform.

i tried this a couple of times already..
as soon as i want to do a burn out with the VDC on the car stops and wont spin basically, when i have the VDC off, when you first start trying to burn out the VDC kind of stops the wheels at first but when you keep trying to burn out it stops working and lets you do whatever, so when its off it still offers some protection,

i am really interested to see "how small" it will be.
the comparo test from C&D says ithas the least amout of leg room. it will be nice, but yes there wont be too many disounts or dealing to be had anytime soon. Lexus does frown upon "market adjustments" from dealers though--usually it is because they have in the neighborhood of a 13%-17% markup already built in from invoice to MSRP.
i am still having a hard time trying to decide, how much i am willing to spend. the 330i, G35 and the IS350 are my choices, however the IS could be ruled out upon first official drive. i want to see it in person. the 330i has grown on me like the plague...but the price....
i did figuer like a month ago that if i kept the 330i at least 6 years, which i plan on keeping my next car 7 ro so years, the added price would pay itself off in gas savings. and tyhat was based on the pre-Katrina pricing. may be less time now.
the G35 is still a great value, no one will argue that.
anyword on white being offered with graphite interior for 06? god i hope so.
i love too damn many cars!

Motor Trend got a 14.0@99mph out of the IS350 which seems to be a far more realistic numbers than what C&D got. Unless the IS350 was severely underrated, a 13.7@104mph in a 3570lb car with 306hp/277tq doesn't make much sense. A 13.7@104mph comes close to rivaling what the auto LS1 F-Body (13.4-13.6@104-106) does and that car weighs 3400lbs and has 310whp/310wtq or approximately 360hp/360tq at the flywheel.

that bmw got first place by ONE stinking point over the lex, ........let's take that "70-0 braking where the abs Failed and test driver almost spun the car at 70mph" and imagine that on a panic stop on the freeway........yeah, pretty scary......with all those lights going off like that, who knows what else could of have failed, including several AIR BAG lights, pretty big safey issues there if you ask me.........not acceptable for the price they're asking, or anyprice with safety issues like that...........in real life, who knows whos on whos true payroll anymore
.....1point, jeeeshhhh.....for me, i'm waiting for the is350 whenever the manual versions come out, i'd say a year to two..........
your milage may vary.......

good catch, i didn't add the points myself(trusted the C&D folks to that)..........keep in mind that 99.9% of readers wouldn't even both with that....they just read the info and see who's #1,2,3 etc..just like i did.......who knows, maybe this is mistake by design as to not to get feelings hurt? Winning is big business which relates to big sales......way off topic, but remember when the rotory powered Mazda(72B) won the mother of all motor racing 24 of hours of LeMans in 79?(i think)......the rotories were BANNED indefinitly from LeMans the following year!!!
anyway, i don't know how it has to do with this thread, just thought i throw it in here....
now back to your regular scheduled program....

You must have an auto - I can turn off the VDC on my '04 6MT, rev to about 3500, dump the clutch and apply full throttle, and she lights the tires (two tires-posi!) until I decide to stop (burnout)
.
Well, given the choice between the IS350 and 330i, I'd pick the IS350 any day of the week and twice on Sunday. The IS350 has no manual transmission? No problem, it's a granny hot rod Lexus anyways. Besides, Lexus is developing a new manual tranny for the 350 as we speak. From what I can tell, the IS350 has one hella of an engine that may be underrated.
