I still stand by my opinion that the 298hp 05 6MT are no quicker in the 1/4 mile than the "260hp" 03/04 6MTs because of the lower midrange punch in the 05 6MT. Also included in the post is a dyno of a 280hp 5AT 05 with a plenum. The power it makes is not really any better than what the 260hp 5AT 03/04 sedans see with the same plenum. I think this is proof that Nissan simply rerated the 260hp 03/04 sedan motor to 280hp even though it's really not making any additional power.

I agree. They do make more power on the dyno, but the big problem is the 2005s gained weight. 150lb~. Now if they didn't gain that extra weight, they would definitely be faster no doubt about it.
