A/C Issues?
#17
The reason the A/C comes on to defrost your window is because it provides a source of drier air to overcome the moist air in the cabin causing the condensation. The cooler, drier air coming out of the dash vents will more quickly reduce the disparity between the inside/outside air temperature which is causing the condensation on your windsheild glass. Blowing moist, 'room temperature' air on the glass will do next to nothing. It'll likely do more to increase the problem than reduce it.
Rolling the windows down, especially in the mornings during the summer, invites more moist air into the cabin and defeats the purpose of running the defrost. You can either cool and dry the air using the defrost, or you can run with the windows down and let the temperature/moisture inside and outside the cabin equalize long enough for your glass to unfog and adjust.

A bump for the orig question...
Have there been any known or common problems with the air conditioner units with the 2003's?
Lately mine seems to be way too loud and the blower seems to always run. It sounds like the cooling fan or something, and puts a serious load on the engine at all times. I know it needs to kick on at times for cooling, but it never shuts off. Even when it's been cooler out, I've turned it on and the fan and everything starts running immediately. Is this normal?
I remember reading something about the a/c units with the '03s, but I can't recall what the issues were
