My center console creaks when I brake too. Sometimes quite loudly, sometimes not at all. Sometimes it's so bad that it's obviously something that warrants fixing, as opposed to just being a picky owner.

Already my dealer has tried 2 times to fix the creaky metal trim over the shifter. Both times it stopped for a few days then started again.

I'm thinking now that I am better off waiting for Infiniti to issue a TSB on it then get it fixed. Otherwise, they simply pull the trim off and snap it back on which will probably fix it for a few days.

Too bad they don't have a 2005 TSB for the clicking noise high on the driver (and passenger) side window.

These two noises seem to be very common according to this forum.
Hope Infiniti is working on TSBs to fix those.

I think I have the same shifter trim creaking. I don't mind that so much but I thik I got the rear door rattle. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does it's pretty load.

Creak from door - I found-out that on my 05, the noise came from what holds the tweeter speakers on top of the door. Took me a while to find it since everyone here complained about a noise from the air vent so I kept checking the air vent assembly but that was not my problem. If you look at this little triangular assembly that is holding the tweeter on front doors, you notice that it is very poorly designed and gets loose. I have not fixed this yet since I have to open the door panel completely to get to it.

Noise from the dash/clock assembly -- this one was very annoying and I could hear it all the time. I took it to dealer and they fixed it in a couple of hours.

I agree, for a high end car, and especially after only 2-3 months, this is way too much creaking and noise.

I've owned a BMW and an Audi and they also had noises that drove me crazy. The Audi was the worse, the little fan inside the air conditioner module would rattle after 2 years. Under warranty it was fine but I didn't want to keep the car past that. They replace the whole air conditioner module to fix that little fan. It's probably a $600 fix including labor.

My point is the G35 rattles a bit more than the high end competition but it's not that bad either.

Having said that, my driver side window click and the center console creak are driving me nuts. How can they be perfectly silent on some trips yet creak like mad on others.

Surely Infiniti must know that those two noises are causing much more than the average amount of service visits. Hope they devise a TSB to fix them.

I took the car in and they fixed the console squeak...but my driver side door panel they can't seem to fix...I'll be taking it in a 3rd and actually have one sit next to me while I drive it to point out exactly where the sound is coming from.

How difficult would it be to DIY the TSB on the rear door. I got t-boned and I know Infiniti won't do it for free.

Mine has been to the dealer 8 times for the same nasty rattles and issues, but it was/is the best bang for the buck (IMO).

Agreed - if you think it's going to get better guess again. It's really inexcusable for a car like this, and it's a direct cause of the cheep plastic interior and way too many assembly pieces. You really want to disgust yourself, disassemble the glove compartment area including the navi section w/the vents - and you will want to bring this car back for a refund. This interior is unbelievably ****-poorly assembled and cheep - is the main cause of all the aggravating squeaks/rattles/and pops. You should here how horrendous this car is after sitting in the sun all day at work and driving it home. On totally smooth roads this car cannot stop creaking and snapping. I feel like detonating a shape-charge on the dash and getting it over with

I really hope Infiniti fixed this issue - in the new photos it looks promising but a personal inspection/drive will tell.

Quick Window sqeek Fix

My rear windows squeek as well, I had taken it in a few times (Less than 10k miles) and they "Shocker" could not replicate the noise. I however seem to have no problem doing so. I have seen the bulletin in in the thread above, but my quick fix is to just roll the windows down a bit and then back up again. This must put new pressure on the window regulator bolts and takes the sqeek out of the doors for the time being. Only a remedy for the short term, but sanity only comes in small does.
