cf hood for silver sedan

My wife dinged up the hood and grill on my silver sedan. Funny thing was that she got out of our truck and started yelling at me for parking behind her. She took the "best defense is a good offense" position. Entertaining, but didn't work. She still caught hell.

So, I need to replace the hood and grill.

First, do they make a CF hood for the sedan? If they do, how would it look on a silver sedan? Has anyone put one on and do you have pics?

I will put the UT grill on if they have them ready yet. I sent an email to them on their website. I haven't heard if they're ready yet.

I don't know if it fits on a 32 year old business mans car. That's probably my real dilema.

I just found some pics of a silver sedan with black cf hood. I don't think I can pull that look off.

If I had a black car I would do it for sure. I really like the fiber look. Has anyone every done anything with a siver cf? That may be a stupid question but I would go for a silver cf hood if such a thing existed.

I know they make CF hoods with yellow, red, and blue weaves as well as carbon kevlar hoods which are yellow/black, but not silver

what i've seen people do though, is have a body shop shoot the CF hood with whatever color you want and a clear coat on top of that

Carbon Fiber One sent back an email that said they make the silver CF hood for 100 extra. If they can nail the color I think it has the possibility of looking pretty good.

Has anyone seen this done before?

I would say "No". If you were a 19 year old kid than maybe.

well, this could be your excuse to get stillen supercharger and it requires their hood. granted, a lot of people have a problem with the bulge - don't like the looks - but i myself find it acceptable. take a look

Just get a CF hood and paint it the color of your car.

CF doesn't look good, people. Why has the world lost the realization of the true value of carbon fiber? The only reason I'd replace anything with CF is for weight reduction at the track. Can't stand to see these CF 'overlays' all over the car, it's ridiculous.

My friend has a silver CF hood from Carbon Creations on his Altima and the damn thing turned a few shades too close to yellow. I love carbon fiber but driving around with a black hood only impresses 16 year olds these days. Plus the issues with black ones fading due to cheaper resins will only cause more headache down the road.
