Strangest thing I've ever experienced in my 2005 G35X so far.
I was pulling into my garage, engaged reverse to straigten up, then put it back into drive to move forward again. Maybe I engaged drive a bit faster than normal after shifting it out of reverse but nothing too crazy.
My car lurched forward and the tires squealed as I hit the brakes. I actually hit the boxes in front of the car (no damage).
It was really weird. Note that I never exceeded maybe 1 mph throughout this but that last second of sudden 'acceleration' was scarey.
When I stopped, I thought maybe I had hit the gas instead of the brakes but then I realized I would have driven hard into the garage wall if I did that instead of just bumping the boxes.
Very odd. Seems like the G35X got confused by the shift from Drive to Reverse to Drive. Very strange. It still could be driver error, but the more I think about it, the more I think that just isn't possible. The only error I could have made was to hit the gas but, like I said earlier, that would have resulted me in zooming forward right into the wall. Or, maybe I blipped the gas accidentally as I moved my foot to the brake? It really didn't seem like I did.
Has anyone else ever experienced anything like that?
