I had a loaner car with Sirius installed. The display scrolled so you could see the whole title playing. Is this a feature that can be turned on? My factory Bose radio with XM only shows whatever fits in the display. Not a big deal but if it can be turned on, why not?

 

Mine is the same way and I have Sirius. So far I have not been able to get it to scroll.

 

I'll have to speak to the dealer and see if that function was deleted or how to enable it. If I find out anything, I will report.

From everything I've found out, the display can't scroll in satellite mode. This seems to be a function of the satellite receiver. I'm still puzzled as to how the loaner was scrolling though a subsequent loaner, also with Sirius, was unable to scroll. Hmmmmmmmmm. I'm gonna keep checking.

 

Well that sucks. I like sat radio, but I hate that fact that I can't get all the info that I can get on the unit I got from Sirius...and it was cheaper to.

 

i have sirius in my coupe and it wont scroll, i have to press the stupid disp button, also when i play mp3's it wont scroll either....so cheezy that it wont...i'll have to find out from the dealer when i go this week...i'll keep you guys posted

 

Mine scrolls on MP3's, press dispaly once to see the song name, again quickly to scroll.

 

I'll try that key combinaton on the XM but I'm told it won't work because the XM module in the trunk controls the display and is not enabled to scroll. I'm mystified because of that Sirius system in a loaner that DID scroll.

 

Well, the tuners ARE different between XM and Sirius. So, it is quite possible that the Sirius unit includes the scrolling feature, where the XM tuner does not.

 

But then I had another loaner with Sirius that didn't scroll. I would just like a definitive answer.

 

i cant get mine to scroll when i play mp3 cds, have to keep pushin the disp button...soo annoying

 

I had an '04 x which had sirius installed in the factory - it scrolled. Unfortunately wrecked that one and then bought an '05x with sirius installed by the dealer - it doesn't scroll. Maybe only factory installed scroll??
