[QUOTE=Mike995134]I just saw the picture and article last night ... didn't read it carefully though, but from what I can recall it said that Nissan is looking at a vehicle that could slot above the Max ... similar to the Avalon v. Camry.

It also said that this has always been a RHD model, obviously for the JDM market. But if you look at the interior shot it's LHD leading one to believe that it's being considered for the North American market. And the dash layout (the Murano -Max pod set-up) is clearly visible.

Stay tuned[/QUOTE
Well Nissan already has it set up similiar Max/Altima and its Avalon/Camry. The Max competes with Avalon and the Altima battles it out with the Camry. We all know that the Max and Altima are alot sportier than there Toyota counterparts although.

I actually saw this car in Phoenix during this month. I saw on the way to work in downtown Phoenix and trailed it a bit to find out what make it was. It sort of looked like an Altima of sorts. I was driving my G at the time and it seemed like it was about the same size or larger...definitely not smaller. Anyhow...just thought I'd share.

My friend who came from Nissan HQ in Japan a month ago was staying in Phoenix where the Nissan test track is at. He is in development of Maxima and Altima. He didn't say a word about bringing Teana here.

those are def pics of the Teana (japan)/M(u.s), but not the new G35, which he seems to be making that statement.

I agree, it's confusing, my opinion is, why the hell would they change the G to look so much like the M, especially since there is an M35, seems it would affect those sales, besides, if the '06 was headed for a massive change like that, I think we would have seen something about it, like maybe in Motor Trend or such.

That is the Nissan Teana and they are test driving it in US for possible release around 2007. If you look at the pics, they have changed the RHD car to a LHD car for US market. This will be competing with Toyota Avalon just like the Altima is competing with Camry. And yes it does have a Michigan plate.

NO this is not the M.

(Japan) Nissan Fuga = (US) Infiniti M35/M45

Here's another article...

Damn, this car actually looks like the car I saw on Japanese car magazine few weeks ago. The sentence on the picture (Japanese) actually says things about the car that makes sense. It's perfectly normal for the car to look like its older brother(M). Looks a mercedes line, from the back, can't distinguish the difference between the C,E and the S.
