If addition to the $1,000 manufacturer to dealer incentive, is Inifinti giving up anything on the money factor or residuals for the '05 AT RWD yet?
I know they've got a ton of sedans to move before the '06 models come in. I also noticed that the "build and locate" function at Infiniti.com is turned back on for the G35 sedan. (It had been off for about 2 months while the coupe "locate" stayed functional.) It is a real positive from a negotiating standpoint to know exactly how many sedans your dealer has. Many in the Los Angeles area where I am have 60 or 70 or more on their books!

I leased an 05 Auto Sedan with the Premium, Sport, and Aero Packages in May. The sticker was $36250 and they were completely willing to let it go for $33650. I leased it for 39 months ZERO money down, taxes included $460 a month. I just paid the first payment and drove away. I am sure that you can do that or better now. My dealer is the only one for 70 miles but they had about 60 05 G35’s on the lot at the time.

Just talked to a buddy who sells them, he said they are having they "summer lease event" which ends this weekend....not sure what that gives you in addition to the factor incentive (which he said was only on a certain number of vehicles sold).

Any idea how picky IFS is about credit rating to get their good lease rates? I had to take on some additional debt last year and, while I have no derogatory credit, my score has dipped below 700.

Depends how much it dipped. The general cutoff for good credit terms is 680.Originally Posted by Teeter

You shouldn’t have had to put any money down to get that deal. What was the actual sales price of the car? What dealership did you go to?Originally Posted by hgiljr

MSRP $35460, out the door $31810. $420/36mo. w/ $1500 drive off. money factor rate 1.820. I shopped around online and got quotes from dealers in the area. I went to my nearest dealer and showed him the offers I had gotten from two other dealers and he was able to match it.

That actually seems about right. Assuming final price was at or near invoice ($32,005) and using a MF of .00149 and residual of 69%. If you put $3,500 as cap cost reduction and $1,500 as drive off, your total monthly, including 8.25% tax would be $282.Originally Posted by aequitask

Sound about right?
Now if you hadn't put that $3,500 down, your payment would have been about $446 a month. The difference in payments over 24 months would have been $3,936, but you would have had that $3,500 to invest over two years. Anyway, potato / potatoe. Congrats on your car.
(I'm also in L.A.... where did you go and how were you treated? I could buy as early as this weekend or as late as the last weekend of Sept.)

I just leased one 6 weeks ago. 2005 5AT - Premium C - $5k down - 12K/year - $335/month. It works for me. I was surprised they came in this low. Another dealer in town was making it look like almost $400/month for same deal.
For comparison - I had also shopped the Acura TSX, they had no deal. Same terms came out to $460/month! Wow!

I am not a big fan of leasing, my friend leased a MB CLK320 for about $700 a month. He works so hard to keep his monthly payment, but after a 36 months lease, he end up with nothing.
