The 05 aero kit is $2200 from the dealer installed.. It is only $550 if you get it as an option...

 

OK, thanks. The aero kit is rare on the 6MT period, and without Premium package it almost doesn't exist. Oh well, I guess I'll either have to do without it or get $2K+ worth of options I don't want.

 

The pics I have seen in the past of the '05 body kit don't make the kit look very desirable. Infact it looks tacky.

 

I am not sure where I saw it, but I think I saw that it was a PIO ( Port Installed Option ). The dealer can install it, that is how my car got it. When I ordered my car, I ordered the then available $1100 Aero Kit, which is no longer listed on the Infiniti site. While waiting for the car I ordered, I found the same car minus Aero at a nearby dealer ( which wasn't there when I ordered mine ) so a dealer trade was arranged. I got the lip spoiler, underbody diffusers and the rear spoiler. The 2005 G35 sedans already have the side sill extensions that were part of the '03 and '04 aero kit. I think the aero kit makes the car a little less bland than many of the other sedans out there, and my wife thtought it made enough visual difference that she insisted that I get it. Who could argue with that!

 

Keep in mind as an option you're basically going to be paying for the sun roof as well.

When I had my dealer do a locate of all 6MT's more of them had the aero kit thne the 5AT's did (percentage wise).

6MT overall is just much rarer.


I just took ownership of mine today. 6MT aero, splash guards, sunroof. Diamond graphite.

 

cany you post a quick pic of your ride. i've seen a ton of 05's but none yet with the aero kit. does it look similar to the kit on older models?

 

Lense was foggy, from going from inside central air to outside humidity and heat, so it's washed out a tad.

Looks like liquidrage has the aero kit which is the underbody diffusers. The body kit is something different.

Yeah, the guy I replied to earlier said "aero kit". I wasn't talking about the body kit.

If he was talking about something different, my bad.

 

Nice liquidrage - just like mine except for the wing. I did see one car on a dealer lot with the full aero kit but none on the road. I do see the 03-04 aero's fairly frequently so the 05's are much more rare. IMO, the new aero kit does not look that good. That's a shame because the last aero kit really enhanced the G35 design. If you do a search, you can find pics in a previous thread.

 

Oh ok, I know what you're talking aobut now. My bad. I didn't even think that existed as a factory option at all for the 05's. Now I know what he thought it was rare and I was like, "it's not rare".
