anyone have any pics of there oem sat radios because im looking into buying one from grubbs, but would like to know how the buttons opperate compared to the regular bose without sat. thanks

 

also when you buy the oem sat radio is it a whole new radio like with buttons and all? or just something thats hidden?

 

I bought XM for my coupe, I have the BOSE head unit. My head unit didn't change at all. Before I installed, the SAT button did nothing. If you buy the XM or Sirius receiver and your car is pre-wired for sat radio, the receiver connects in the trunk and it operates off the BOSE head unit.

 

What if you have an '05 that doesn't have a SAT button? Also, where did you guys buy your sat receivers? I was looking at Grubbs and Everything, but I'm sure there are others.

 

Do you have the BOSE head unit? If so, then you will not have a SAT button, but rather a Radio button. The radio button toggles between AM, FM and SAT stations. I got my SAT radio installed when I purchased the car.
