Qx56

Anyone have or know anything about the QX56? Shopping for a new SUV for my wife, looked at the Navigator, Escalade and QX56. They are all around the same price after all the discounts currently being offered by GM/Ford. Anyone who knows of any good deals, please let me know.

Grubbs just quoted me 44,350.00 on a 54,500.00 MSRP, I think that below sticker.

What out. Made in the US I believe.

The dealer told me they are having trouble pushing the QX, I guess it's due to the high gas prices, but $10k off? Geez!

We have an Armada, the Nissan equivalent. Loaded except for Nav. They are having serious rotor issues due to warping. Other than that, I love this truck. The best part is that is is damn fast. I love it when someone pulls next to us a light expecting to "get the jump" on that big slow SUV. Little do they know this truck pushes 300+ hp and does 0-60 in 7 seconds.

If you want an SUV that can handle, has some power, and actually offers serious luxury rather than a pickup turned SUV with bolt on luxury, try the Porsche Cayenne. Unless you need the size, you may find yourself in love with the build quality, appointments and lower center of gravity. Not to mention an interior that is unrivaled in an SUV. And you'll still get a luxo badge.

I'd recommend a Toyota Landcruiser/Lexus LX470

My family actually has both. A 98 Landcruiser with 160k miles and a 04 LX470. They are bullitproof. A little on the pricey side but really really well built.

I've got an 04 Titan Crew Cab LE. Get the Nissan you will love the power and hopefully you will get one with the thick brake rotors and you won't have the warpping issue. We had ours done(TSB) and it fixed the issue best as we can tell. The Q jams, its got more juice than the Titan and I have yet to be beat....hemi....yeah right or you could get a volksche for more green your choice but the Armadas and QXs are not running off the lots. I was quoted $27,300 for an Armada LE with all options-retailed at $42,600. Remember you have to make your own decision, as we all have. Good Luck!!!

Even though I despise SUV's, I love the Hummer H2. If you are looking for a car that wastes that much space and gas, go for the gold. Not only can the H2 out handle almost any SUV on the road (it won't roll over), it is one bad *** truck in the dirt. It can climb a 16" vertical wall, how many stock vehicles can make that claim.

We bought the Armada for interior space. There is no SUV out there except for a Suburban or Excursion that matches the Armada for room. We have 2 large dogs and the Armada with the fold flat seats rocks. We looked at the Sequoia, the rear seats need to be removed and stored somewhere and the 2nd row just tumbles. The Armada won hands down for interior room and functionality. And it is fast to boot. We have been getting around 13mpg city. Not too bad when I am getting around 15 in my 05X.

Thanks everyone, we're going to go this weekend. The dealer has been calling me, they sound pretty desparate. I'm going to try to get it at invoice.

Keep us posted

The Denali XL warranty is up in about 50 miles, and am not interested in keeping it.

Love the looks of the QX56, wonder what 2006 will bring for it?

Michael
