okay. heres my problem. i'm 17 with a brand new g35 S. no thats not the problem. i've been working my butt off to get some money for a pair of rims. 2100 installed and everything. the problem is, i'm having a hard time deciding whether or not i want to actually get these wheels. I mean i'm 17 and 2100 is alot of money. I can put that in the bank and use it for when i move out in a few years. I can be big pimp and get the wheels and get bitches left and right but i mean 2100 is some money. I'm stuck and I dont know what to do. Everytime i see the wheels, i'm like DAMNN i need to get it. but then i think, who am i trying to show off too? why should i get the wheels, for who for what? okay i dont know what i'm saying i'm just stuck. please help me out.

 

Save your money for future use. Heck I would say you are already pimp, you are 17 and have a beautiful ride now .

Any Chic you can get with Pimp wheels you probably would not want. You should only buy wheels to impress yourself. For me I just didn't like the way the car looked with the stock 5 spokers. With the increase in rubber width I have had some fun times on onramps and offramps.

 

id get cheaper rims and you can always sell them later

honestly you should get the rims for you, not to try to impress others. I'm not sure what you do to make money, but just like you said, 2100 is a huge chunk of money to drop. If the sole reason you are buying rims is to impress others, then I'd use the money on something else. Something that'll actually make YOU happy.

That said though, rims are probably one of the most visually enhancing upgrades for your car. So its definitely a worthwhile investment.

Have you considered going FI though? If you're into speed that's always another option.

F*** it though, you're 17 and already drive a G35. I'd just blow the money on hookers, but hey thats me.

 

Dude, when I was 17 I had a 1980 Ford Fairmont (aka. Lunchbox) with steel wheels and no stereo. But I had chicks in my car ALLLL the time.

The car and the wheels don't get the girls in the car. Save your money!

 

hookers ** hmmmm ** haha. yeah i know what you guys are saying. i saw the rims on a g35 and thats what triggered the thought of me getting it. i worked hard and earned the 2100. i love the rims. LOVE! i'm not getting it for my homeboys or anything. i actually dont kick it with anyone anymore from previous experience last year with my other car. i only hang out with my cousins now. So it's not the fact that i'll be showing off to anybody. i'm going to love the rims and my car even more but DAMN 2100 hahaha. i'll probably just save the money and use it for something else. g35 is already good enough i guess. maybe if i get a higher paying job i'll just bite the bullet and get them. we'll see. =] well i was thinking about getting some sways a few weeks ago. Should i get those instead and call the g35 a wrap for now? sways are only about $400 installed. thats 1700 i can put in the bank.

 

Save your $$$$ bro, you've got a great ride now. The dough will come in handy later on. You'll be glad you saved it.

That's what I'm sayin....do some small stuff that makes it look good (keep it clean for one, polish up the chrome on the car, and keep the wheels clean), do some tint and a nice muffler or something, and the car will keep turning heads without you spending 2K....trust me, I wish someone told me this stuff when I was 17 instead of constantly blowing my money on car stuff....

 

17 and the owner of a G... Dude sounds like your loaded. I say get the rims, you can always same money later like when your 40 or something.

 

I'm in the same situation right now when it comes to me getting an Eclipse 5435 for my car. Thats 2G right there. Decisions decisions!!! I say go for the Rims and I will go for the Eclipse!!!

Get a stock broker and invest the money. Buy some stocks in companies that pay dividends and just reinvest them. Then when you are 35 you can buy a $200K sports car. Save the cash...

 

or you could just steal some stock 19s from the infiniti dealership that come on a G coupe
