Ride Feel

I have my new G35x for around 1300 miles. For the most part it is smooth, but occasionally I feel up and down motion. This occurs on rougher roads, and so may be caused by road imperfections (it feels like the road is a bit rippled, which it may be), but even though I know that the G's suspension is taut, I am surprised at how bouncy the ride is on any road that isn't smooth.

The other thing I've noticed is that the G switches into 4th gear around 40 mph, and I get a bit of the up and down motion then. It is reduced (but not eliminated) if I go to manual and keep it in third until 45 mph.

Anyone else experience this. Is is simply the tight suspension and normal, or should the ride be smoother?

Thanks. Tire pressure is 31.5 psi in each tire, and I also had the dealership check and see if the wheels were balanced. They took it for a test drive and found nothing wrong, checked the balance anyway and found that the wheels were balanced. As I said, it is smooth most of the time, so I may be imagining things, but it is not as smooth on rough roads as I expected.
