I had my 2001 Infiniti I30 tinted Limo all around and even the windshield, but never got pulled over by cops. Here in Cali. it is illegal to have tints on the front two windows but who cares.

I have to admit that I didn't see **** at night, for example if I wanted to park in between two cars and I needed to use the mirrors I would roll the windows down all the way to see if I don't hit anything.

Maybe I have poor eyesight (I doubt it) but I imagine with anything darker than 30% the problem is even worse.

Maybe its just me? What do you folks think?

By the way, the 35% against a diamond graphite paint job and black interior looks quite a bit darker than it actually is.
You do have a point, completely forgot about that. One night a few weeks ago, it was raining and I had to pull out of a friends' long curved driveway. There were no street lights and I tried to back out 2x before I ended up having to roll down the windows in the rain. As long as there is a street light I don't have problems, but in coplete darkness, the reverse lights dont provide enough illumination w/ my 20% tint.

Went with Llumar 35% all around. If I had it to do over again, I would have gone 35% in the front and 20% rears. Scratch that. 35% looks great and I can still scope out the cute chick in the car next to me!

limo tint

yeah on the volvo its 5% and at night I can't see at all, but I know most the areas i drive really well, and if its dark outside and rainy then its tough. But i really think 35/ 20 should be good I just don't want to deal w/ any tickets. I think 35% on a black car looks ok, 5 looks gangster, and I'm trying to grow up :-D I am not sure about brands, I just got whatever the place I went to had because it has a lifetime guarentee.

i went with 35% HuperOptik on all windows... On BS g35s they look awesone. However, I was pulled by cops twice for tint and they measured it, i got 24% visibility, due to the fact that the factory windows already have some tint coating.... so take that into your account when looking for a darker tint.

that sucks, did you get a ticket? thats a pretty big change from 35 to 24, my limo tint is 5 but the last time they checked it, it was 3.5% or something and talked my way out of it, but I was like i paid for 5% i promise :-)

Does anyone have any experience in tinting a red G35. Just got a Garnet Fire '05 AT one week ago and need to get it tinted, but do not know what will look best and am leaning toward a 35/20 tint. Any input?

Do any Infiniti dealers offer tinting service or should I go with an independent?

I just got my 2005 Garnet Fire/Graphite G35 6MT sedan tinted with Llumar 35% all around about 2 weeks ago. It's my first car ever with tint, but so far I'm very happy with it. Sorry, I haven't taken any pictures of it, yet. I'll try to find the time to take some soon.

I put FormulaOne Pinnacle 15 on my car:

I highly recommend it. I like the matte black look of the ceramic tint. The shade is dark enough that I'm happy and still (apparently) light enough that I have not yet had any issues with the authorities.

I'm actually thinking about getting tints on my car this weekend also. I have an 05 G35, Brilliant Silver. I have no idea what these numbers are, from what I can see though..the lower the number the darker. Not sure what the regulations are here in IL. I want something light enough to where I wont be ticketed, but dark enough to say..yeah it was worth the money.

Tmds that looks mean. Anymore pics of your car? I have 20% all around and love it. Like others have said. When it rains and with no illumination around it can be too dark.
I have had 50% before and thought it wasnt work having on. Had 35% also it was ok just not dark enough for me.
