Sedan Clutch Assembly Problems

Last summer and again this summer during the hot weather my clutch became noisy and squeaky when pressing and releasing. It becomes quite noticeable after driving in stop-n-go traffic on a hot day.

Last summer the dealer replaced the clutch pedal assembly thinking it was the problem, but after driving for a couple of days it was just as bad. They eventually replaced the whole clutch assembly under warranty.

This summer, again with the hot weasther, it has started again. The dealer looked at it again and apparently they are going to replace the assembly again.

I'm sure that the hot weather contributes to the early failure, probably due to close tolerances and heat generated during normal operation.

Has anyone else experienced this ?? So far it has been replaced at 17k miles and soon to be at about 32k miles.

Depending on if you press slowly (squeaky) or quickly (clicking) -- The squeaking gets louder as it heats up due to stop-n-go and hot weather. The sound can be heard while standing outside the car as well as inside.

Should mention that last time it was covered under warranty and they tell me that it will be replaced again under warranty -- Just wanted to know if this an isolated problem or if other owners have had similar experiences.
