UPDATE: Official ’06 G35 PHOTOS
Sport Z Magazine has acquired photos of the new 2006 G35 Coupe from Infiniti. The photos were advanced to SZM for print use in our Fall issue (which also features one of the most heavily modified Gs as well as a plenum spacer review). Official ’06 photos will be online for viewing on or near August 17 at www.infinitinews.com. It is unclear whether photos of the Sedan will be available at this time (or, for that matter, if there are any visible changes).
A few items of interest. The photos are of an ’06 G35 Coupe AT with intelligent key and the new optional spoiler. The front fascia and side sills are also slightly different from the ’05 model, so we are presuming it includes the optional Sport-Tuned Suspension Package. Nissan North America PR representatives told SZM that the 6MT coupe was not available for photos.
We’d love to comment in detail (or better yet, put the photos up on our website), but we are the only media outlet to have access to these photos at this time and they are under an embargo until their official release on the above website. Not to “spoil” the fun, let’s just say that the item of most interest, in particular to future 6MT owners, is a large improvement (some might say “small” improvement) over the earlier version. We do not know if the Sedan will get the same revision, but odds are good.
For those interested in subscribing to Sport Z Magazine, check us out at www.sportzmagazine.com (a full list of changes to the ’06 G35 is listed there as well, sans photos). Our new Fall 2005 issue releases September 1--order by August 17--and will have a number of G35 items, not to mention rumors on the ’07 G, an 8-page drifting guide, and a technical brake article on a new invention that could revolutionize the braking industry … and it works on Brembo-equipped G35s.

sent my check last week... can't wait to start receiving in the mail rather than hoping to get the last copy at Noble
Thankfully DaveO has shared issues with me - it's a great mag! I'll be anxious to see the new G articles

Below is all that Infiniti released regarding the Sedan, word for word. It does say "Enhancements include..." so there is a possibility, but based on this information, unlikely. Infiniti, I would think, would have promoted new headlights.
Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan
The 2006 G35 continues to express Infiniti’s bold direction of combining leading-edge design and technology, driver-oriented performance and a long list of luxury amenities. The G35 sedan features a standard 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 280 horsepower and 270 ft-lb of torque. The G35 6MT model with close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission is tuned to generate 298 horsepower.
The 2006 G35 sedan adds minor features.
Enhancements to the 2006 G35 Sedan include:
• Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone system and satellite radio added to all Premium Packages
• New exterior color – Liquid Platinum

And If Not, Why Not?!?!!?!!??!
* Better manufacturing processes (fewer defects in the form of rattles, squeaks, etc.)
* Better fit-and-finish
* Improved reliability / technical performance (no more stereo equilizer bugs, for example)
Maybe my day job is breaking through a little with this post, but that's what I'd like.
