Installing Splash guards

Should I necessarily drill holes in my car ( as per the instruction supplied) to install my splash guards..... Is there any other alternative....

Drill the holes - it makes for a very nice, tight fit. I did mine myself, it was not difficult at all, and all the holes drilled were into plastic - no metal. You only have to make a hole big enough to hold the little metal attaching clips.

The first one took about 15 minutes to position & establish how I was going to follow the process, then the rest went on in a flash.

I hate drilling into my car too, but in this case it was really no biggie.

I would put the car on a lift if you could - it made lining up the underside holes much easier. I lifted my car and pulled the wheels off - it made it a piece of cake.

Curious, I have the 05 splash guards for my 05- Took them off.

Anyhow, does anybody know if the 2004 splash guards will fit on the 05s?
I would have the bottoms painted if they did.

At the time I bought mine, Grubbs was cheaper and offered free shipping. I have no idea what the deal would be there now.

My 05 does not have the flaps on it, but I have considered getting them as well. Do you think they look good on the 05, does it distrupt the lines of the car, and do they work well. Thanks

I think they look great, and functionality is perfect. I used to spin the water and crap up off the road into the splash zone right behind the wheel well. Not anymore. Spotless.

Tire dressing that used to spin off into the same area now ends up on the inside of the splash guard - not my paint.

My vote = 10 of 10 stars. Looks great, works great, piece of cake to install. Again, the holes required go through PLASTIC - you're not drilling your metal. You need the holes to accomodate the push-pins and screw clips required to give the flaps that tight, "of-one-piece" look that Nissan intended. I found the installation to be very easy and thought Nissan did a good job with how they attach this accessory to the car.

Previous model year flaps don't fit the 05 properly as far as I know...

I almost got the splash guards on mine (an 05 sedan) because I wouldn't mind the extra protection...but when I started seeing some sedans on the road with them on...it just didn't appeal to me (really, it was the front splash guard that I didn't like...the rear one looks ok). I'm sure they offer great protection (especially the rear ones that extend pretty far back), but I think it ruins the lines of the car. Just my opinion. I ended up telling the dealer to not put them on when I took delivery. Go take a look at some with them on and without and see how you like them.

I am a bit lucky, the guy that works across the street has a 05 DG Sedan with sport package and splash guards, so I can see my car with and without them....they don't take away anything from the look in my opinoin, so the functionality is why I am getting them.
