How to remove exterior handles and interior door panels?
Anyone know?
1) I'm considering painting my chrome door handles black. I just don't know how involved it is to remove the handle. I already painted my chrome grille black two months ago and it's held up perfectly. There isn't a single chip. The way to get the paint to hold is lots of sanding, primering, multiple light coats of paint and clear, and wet sanding.
2) I have the typical front door rattle. I know exactly where the noise is coming from and since my car is out of the "rattle repair" warranty, I'll have to do it myself. I just need to know how get the thing off.
Any help is appreciated.

The only way to get the outside handle out is from the inside -- not sure if any "special tools" are required. To remove the door panel there have been some posts about this already and a TSB in the system explains some of the procedure already -- search under "door rattle".
You can also PM "inTgr8r" as he recently installed sound proofing in his doors -- removed pretty well every interior panel.

They come apart pretty easily, no special tools.
- remove inner handle trim; it pops off, there's a slot along the bottom to pry.
- remove plastic tab in the inner door latch cup
That exposes 3 bolts to remove.
Then just pry off the panel, working arround the edge. (spring clips)
There are 3 elements to removing the black steel inner panel. (window up)
- bolts arround the perimeter
- 3 bolts mounting the pwr window mtr
- 4 bolts mounting window track.
(track is fixed so no worries about adjusting later, but a little tricky)
Then disconnect lock & latch cables (straight forward)
The door handle,.... you're on your own.
