What are the distinguishing differences on the 2003.5 & 2004.5 models
Where do you guys get the .5 from? Is it by the build date? If so please elaborate. I have a 04 sdn.

Also, another significant mechanical difference (upgrade) between the 03.5 sedan with 6MT and '04 and beyond 6MT is the addition of a VLSD differential (limited slip "posi" rear end).
On the interior, the '03 6MT sedan had no cupholders in front, while the 04 6MT's and beyond got a redesigned console with two cupholders (awkwardly positioned, but they are there).
FYI

Manually shifting the auto transmission actually works as advertised in the '04. It will automatically downshift as you slow down, and when you stop you'll actually be back in 1st gear, as displayed on the dash. Starting out again you can shift manually from 1 - 2 - 3 - etc.
On my '03.5, if I was in 5th "5" is still displayed when I stop. When I start out again it is essentially back in auto mode up to the gear that's displayed. So basically I need to tap it down 4 times whenever I stop, if I want to manually shift when I start out again. Kind of sucks.
