Comlete Detail

My sedan is about 6 months old now, and I want to do a complete detail. I recently puchased a Porter Cable 7336 so I'm very eager. I know I have to use some sort of polish first to get out the swirl marks, etc. Any suggestions? Can I use a sealant and/or wax right after or do I have to use a glaze? Is it bad to mix products, i.e. using 3M Swirl Remover and Zaino or Klasse? Any recommendations for a sealant?

depending on how bad your swirls are start w/ the least agressive polish/pad (meguiars or 3m smr). you can seal immediately afterwards or go w/ a glaze in btw. the glaze will give you that show car wet look. since glazes are mostly oils, you'll need to seal w/ something that will play nicely w/ oils. meguiars will, i think klasse wants aio before it's sealant (which would negate the glaze), zaino will not. when in doubt autopia.org

Remember to not "burn" the paint, it is very easy to do so.

Wash, clay, use light polish, wax. You should be very happy. Check out the Griot's Garage website.
