'04 Ordering

Hey everybody.

I have a question regarding '04 orders. What kind of deal have people got that ordered an '04? I want to know if it makes sense to buy an '03.5 now or wait 2 months and get an '04. I know dealers sometimes will give good deals on ordered cars because they know that the ordered vehicle will not have to sit on the lot and cost them money. But on the other hand, if the deals are too good for ordering an '04 then why would anyone buy an '03.5? Can anyone tells us what kind of deal they got ordering an '04? As always, thanks for the input.

Re: '04 Ordering

I have an '04 on order. The dealer suggested 1% over invoice. That should be less than $350 over invoice.

The sticker price may be going up on the 04's. Just a heads up.

Re: '04 Ordering

I realize I'm not directly answering your question, but I offered $250 over invoice (a little under 1% over invoice) on an 03.5 sedan 6MT with premium, winter, and nav packages (MSRP about $35,300) that's been sitting on the lot for a couple of weeks (and is being driven by the sales manager). Their response was that it's an amazing car ... blah blah blah ... and that if I'd like to make a "realistic" offer, we can make it happen.

There are four Infiniti dealerships within 40 miles of my home (Boston area), so there's plenty of competition. I'm surprised that they're not bargaining more on the 03.5s with only two months until the 04s come out.

Re: '04 Ordering

sometimes dealers will give extra discount because it's a done sale. others will play supply and demand game.

if you want an 04, you might have to order monday 7/7 to get an Oct delivery (you might have already missed the deadline). i ordered on 6/3 for a Sept delivery (the first shipment of 04's).

i thought the 2nd or 3rd was cutoff.
