whats the true difference between brilliant silver and diamond graphite? proabably just a year name change? i hate the tanner silver such as the serengeti sand and was wondering what the true tint difference between the two silvers are. also, how much body damage would be involved in removing a spoiler? finally, do u find the parking brake pedal digs in your shin when u rest your leg to the side? just questions before i buy-thanks!

No.. They are completely different colors. Brilliant silver is a lighter and brighter silver. Diamond Graphite is a darker silver and almost gray. Go take a look at them at your local dealer. There's an obvious difference.

Diamond Graphite is much darker though they are easily mistaken for one another in the twilight or very early morning light.

As for the parking brake - never have I even noticed it was there.

Don't take the spoiler off! It makes the car look too tall but then again that is just IMHO.

Both colors are very nice. You need to see them in person.

what is the quality of the paint job on the G35? I ask as I am torn between the brilliant silver and obsedian black. If the paint is of inferior quality I think I will go BS as it would be less apt to show scratches.

Can't speak for the G's black paint quality. However, black G's look great when they are kept clean. I had a black vert and it was a ton of work keeping it clean. Are you willing to invest the time, as other G forum members, to keep your black beauty looking sharp?

The BS is about as easy as it gets with regard to cleaning and maintaining. Good luck to you on your final decision. Either color is a winner.
