Do early build 2005 have any bugs?

I noticed that some G35s have starting MSRP of $30700, while others $31000. The dealer told me that the earlier batch of 05 G35s are cheaper. Are there any issues that were fixed in the later 2005 and not in the earlier ones?

No problems with mine. I think it may be a sign of the weakening dollar perhaps?

There are a couple of known but very minor defects that the 05 G’s can have but I don’t think that is why some are cheaper. My “up” seek button on my stereo sticks. I took it into the dealer and he knew exactly what the problem is and what part needed to be ordered to fix it. Apparently, a lot of the 05’s have this problem. However, it is pretty minor. You can just use the steering wheel controls. I bet the price difference is because some were built before July and others were built after. I think that Infiniti did a price increase in July just to account for inflation increasing petrol costs and other factors. That is probably the difference.

The factory might of improved something or maybe the dealers are just trying to move cars that have been on the lot the longest.

my upseek button stuck from day one, and my car is only 2 weeks old and just got the radio replaced, ,as soon as i mention the button sticking on the radio. he said bring it in next week and i will replace the radio,mo questions asked, it happens alot he said. not only did the butoon stick, but the plastic cover of the radio started to peel back from the lower right corner on top of the 6 buuton.. i hope the radio is a new design, and not just a replacement,

This is most likely because the destination charge went up during 05.

Just a straight-up $700 price increase ... was documented with a press release. No bug fixes or feature enhancements

Are you sure it is not clear protecting plastic peeling off? Just peel it off completely.

That's what it was on mine, the "faceplate", they got it to not stick, works fine now, but they still ordered a new plate, have to take it back for that soon!

its not the protective film, its actually the thick tinted plastic cover for the middle of the radio.

I have had exactly the same experience with my radio on my 05. The button stuck from day 1. I took it in and they are ordering the faceplate part. They took the radio faceplate off to see if they could fix it and now it is peeling back from the lower right corner just like yours. I am not too happy about this but I think I just my dealer to fix it when the part comes in which might be a couple of weeks.
