Yes, it works like a charm. Did it some 3 months, ago. Can't remember the sequence of steps. However, simply follow the instructions, as provided. If a simpleton, such as myself can do this . . . Anyone can.

Good luck!

Go to www.homelink.com if you have problems programming.

I've done it twice. My 4 year old garage door opener when I bought the car, then again 2 years later when I had to replace the garage door. The second time was easier, since the installers were there to push the button on the opener at the right time for me, so I didn't have to rush from the opener to the car.

Irony is that, with 2 vehicles, I have the homelink, and 3 openers available.

+1..
Stick with it. Once you've done a time or 2, it's a POC.
It's that first time that could be a little difficult.

I was surprised to know that my Solara is programmed the same way.

If you are having trouble, could be because your opener has a "rolling code", then you have to take an extra step, you have to push a button on the opener itself immediately after setting the mirror button.

Does anyone use it for anything other than their garage door?

You can use it for a gate or whatever as well, if it's got a remote!

Homelink is good, but if you have Nav, make sure you don't program your address. Otherwise if you car is ever stolen, the crooks can drive right to your home and get easy entry. Heard that from an insurance agent.

That's good advice, but they can also get the address from your vehicle registration as well. I wish it only worked when the car was running too.

That's for sure, I can open my door from down the street now!
