I'm in the bay area and have 50%/5% maddico tint on my 05 coupe. It's not bad. i like the back to be dark. it really helps with the heat. this is my first post btw. i've had my car for about 2 and half months now. i love this car! One thing I am a little bit annoyed with is the dots around the windows that makes the tint looks like it has white borders all around. does anyone know how to get rid of that? the tinting place i went to said that is normal.???!??!!?

If it's looks than go as dark as you like. Ultimately, you will have to make the decision and you'll be the one driving your G.

Honestly, when you dreamed of becoming a cop, didnt you envision doing something besides traffic related offenses? Im honestly not trying to be a dick, but do you think that giving tickets for tint is making a difference?
Being that I work for the Highway Patrol, how do you think I get most of my activity? Traffic stops. Like I have said in other posts, all I need is probable cause to stop someone and that can lead to other things. Such as stopping someone for driving solo in the carpool lane resulted in me taking the guy to jail for possession of marijuana. Or stopping someone for not signaling 100 feet prior to making a lane change resulted in finding a pound of cocaine. How do you think the majority of our DUI arrests come about? A violation of some sort of vehicle code section i.e. speed, unsafe lane change, driving without headlights on.... Sometimes correctable violations such as license plate not illuminated, expired registration, or even....tinted windows?! Bottom line is we are just trying to seek compliance through enforcement. If you don't want to get your tinted window ticket taken care of, it doesn't matter to me. When the judge suspends your license because of a failure to appear for tinted windows, it just might make a difference then.

if looks are what you want, have the car tinted all the same %. The light in the front, dark in the back is like giving your car a mullet!!! Seriously, it looks like you are chauffering someone around in the back.

I'd leave it all clear, or go limo!

I'm sure others will disagree with me, but cars look best either limo'd out or totally clear.

My car.....5%. No tiickets, but I live in Fla.

Guess I never thought of it that way. I am all for getting the drugs off the streets. I feel you now.
So how about when you pull over guys that have done nothing else wrong, let us go?
That will give you more time to get the druggies and drunks.

Nothing in policy says "shall" cite. "Should's" and "may's", yes, but no "shall's." Verbal warnings are definitely an enforcement action and an option. Some people "need" tickets. Like the guy who told me the speed limit in the fast lane is 80 MPH. Huh? Time for someone to go to traffic school and learn the rules of the road again. Sign in the red box, press hard, four copies.

I did 19 rears, 28 fronts (metallic) and 50 (charcoal) on the windshield.

Yes, keep the drugs in the clubs and off the streets.

Sorry for my off center sense of humor.

i know a cop that comes in my work place he told me when you have tint or no plate in the front cops dont really care and they ignore it so if your out in the middle of the night like at 12 1 2 they can have a reason to pull you over.

I agree with cru here, I have 35% on mine, and it's great, you really don't want it too dark for night driving.
