Feasibility Study: Self Install of OEM NAVI LCD screen assembly.
Requirement: Install a carputer with touch screen and other stuff.
I am planning to buy the INFINITI's factory LCD Assembly that fits in the dash. I am not sure if the LCD assembly alone is available for sale. I dont want to spend 2K on the whole Navigation package that include GPS receiver, navigation DVD, and other interfaces that computes/display the MPG and other stuff.
Has anyone done this before? I especially like the motorized slide in/out feature of the Factory LCD touchscreen.
