Has anyone w/3m Scotch guard applied to the front of the car, experience staining from bugs..? It seems as though I cannot get the stains off that are left behind by bug splatter <see attached photos>. To clarify, most will come off, but some splatters are not. I've tried everything expect solvents and abrasive materials, which is not a good ideal for obvious reasons. This film has only been on the car for about 4 weeks.

Since the photos are heavily compressed it may be difficult to see the area, so they are outlined in [red]. If anyone wants to see the uncompressed photos [2MB+] send me a PM.

I have similar mark and that too a big one(yellow) without the 3M..I also would like to know what can I do? Clay bar?

 

I would take the car by the dealer, 3M installer, and ask them before I tried anything.

 

A lot of people get that, I think it was determined to be staining from bugs or rail dust, either way clay bar doesn't seem to work and I'm not sure I'd use an abrasive polish to get them off - so ya, take it in and tell them you want it fixed. After 4 weeks that's a little whacky.

 

Yeah... Take it in. That should not be happening this early.
