04 Splash guards on an 05?

I know weird F'in question.
I know they are half black half body color.
Is this possible?
I have the 05 splash guards- However, the 04 and older guards look like they are more effective at their job and I'm guessing don't require drilling-

Thanks in advance.

Having had both, I don't think the '05 splash guards are any different in the job they do, if anything, they are better, since they don't have the "cup" the '04 splash guards had, that could be hard to clean sometimes.

The only drilling you have to do is into plastic - you're not breaking the metal. You can also get away with drilling a much smaller hole than they list in the directions if you're patient while you install the clips.

Put the 05 guards on. They look better and perform great. No complaints at all since I installed mine.

Cool- just want something effective. I'll probably just go with the 05s I already have then.

You'll like them. I'm not big into drilling into my car either, but when I saw what the job really required I thought "this isn't bad" and it wasn't. Nothing but plastic.
