Here is the story:

Since I bought the car, it had a break squeak when I only put the car in
reverse. It was a light squeak. Then 3 weeks ago, it squeaks every fricken
Time! And it’s loud.

I mentioned to Infiniti when I just got my car about the noise and they said it was because I have “Performance” Breaks and they are suppose to squeak at times…..well that At times is now every time!

What should I do? They are checking them out today to “see” if I need new ones….which I almost guarantee they are going to tell me.

Should I call Infiniti customer service?

Here is what happend today...basically my whole day on Wednesday was a nightmare:

Well, he just called me.

I need new front brakes and the rears are 40% out.

$300 for the front and $200 for the backs!


Then later on today:


I just got a quote for $500 for all the brakes! I only have 15k miles! I called Infiniti customer service, with no luck! those bastards!!! Im going to take it to another professional brake installer, he quoted me on the phone for $200. We will see what happends tomorrow(thurs)

Very unprofessinal on Infiniti, times like this I miss my BMW 330i 2001

 

I was talking to a tech about the differences in 2003s and 2003.5s... he mentioned that they were having to replace brakes in the earlier models at 15,000 miles. Which model do you drive?

I have an early model, what tech said that?

 

I think there's a TSB out for replacing the rear brakes due to excessive squealing. Not sure of the number.

The tech was actually ther service technician at my Infiniti dealership. We were going for a drive to listen for any rattles, etc. and were talking about the changes in the two. I believe it started when I asked him if they'd softened the brakes up a bit in the 03.5... he said yes, they had, and it went from there.
