2006 G35 MT - No More Summer Tires?

I was comparing the '06 sedan specs to the '05 sedan specs, and I noticed that the '06 specs no longer refer to the (dreaded) summer tires. My concern was the MT, and the '06 specs indicate that the AT, AWD and MT are each getting Bridgestone or Goodyear all-seasons now.

Has anyone heard anything else about this?

Dan the way I look at those specs, it looks like the 06 M/T sedan will get the w rated summer tires again, no where does it say the 6 M/T is getting all seasons.

I think you're right Wayne, but the chart could be interpreted both ways..
... but it's the same for both '05 & '06

I agree with you that it is very vague and could be read both ways.

I did some more checking and found this on the Infiniti site for 06 Sedans:

Standard 7-spoke, 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels (new design) with P215/55VR17 all-season tires
Available 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with P235/45R18 high-performance tires (with G35 6MT model or Sport-Tuned Suspension Package)

Sounds like summer performance tires there for the 18"ers.

Hmmmm, that is as confusing as heck.

I guess I was referring to '05 specs which specifically refer to "Goodyear Eagle NCT5 summer tires" as being standard on the 6MT, whereas the '06 specs only refer to "Bridgestone or Goodyear all-season tires".

I'm not up to 'speed' on my tire jargon, but can you have a "W" rated all-season tire?

The summer tires on the 6MT sedan came as either the Goodyears or some Bridgestone ER33 Turanzas... printed specs are just ink on paper.

Tires can be changed at any moment during production process.

They show 18" standard for the 6mt. What's up with that? So no 19"?
